Melissa Belleville joined SCALEAfrica's board in early 2011. She is a strategic consultant to international non-profit organizations with fifteen years experience and education in the fields of international development and business.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Melissa was part of the African regional support team for the international health organization Population Services International (PSI) based in Washington, DC for five years. Her employment history also includes stints at the World Bank, Ernst & Young's International Finance Consulting Practice and American Express. In addition to her travels in Africa, she has provided on-the-ground assistance to programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
She holds a Masters degree in Marketing and International Relations from the Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree in French from Smith College. She lives with her husband and two young sons on the Upper West Side of New York City.
